Leon Goldman, MD - Medical Director
Leon is a Medical Director at Kyruus. Prior to Kyruus, Leon was the Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer for the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Harvard Medical School affiliate. During his tenure, he created and instituted a comprehensive compliance program covering corporate compliance, research compliance, privacy, and conflicts of interest. Leon began his career as a general surgeon at the former Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. He held a number of leadership roles with Beth Israel including, Director of Undergraduate Education for the Department of Surgery in charge of clinical clerkships and interim Chief of the Department of Surgery until the search for a full time Chief was completed. Leon also served as Chief of the Division of Education for the Department of Surgery. He holds a B.A. and M.D. from Boston University.
Sailu Challapalli - Director of Client Engagement
Sailu Challapalli joined Kyruus in April 2014 and is currently its Director of Client Engagement. Her main responsibilities include assessing patient access at Kyruus client hospitals and healthcare delivery organizations, consulting and implementation support, and product strategy. Prior to Kyruus, Sailu spent 5 years at McKinsey & Company working in its Healthcare Systems and Services practice, advising academic medical centers and for-profit hospitals systems on a broad range of strategic and operational issues, including physician alignment and patient access, service line growth, and partnerships and acquisitions. Previously, Sailu served as the Director for Transplantation at Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC), where she led transformative efforts for the transplant outpatient center. Sailu completed her BS and M Eng degrees at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and received an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Jakov Kucan - Software Architect
Jakov is the Software Architect at Kyruus, leading the data team to develop key data assets and components of Kyruus’s solution. Prior to Kyruus, Jakov worked at Mathsoft (acquired by PTC) on Mathcad, an engineering calculation software. He was the Director of Development, Software Architect, and Product Manager at Mathsoft. Before joining the Mathsoft team, he was one of the founders of Centive (formerly Incentive Systems). There, he developed Enterprise Incentive Management solutions, which included innovative data and calculation models. Jakov holds a BS in computer science, MS in mathematics from University of Pennsylvania, and PhD. in computer science from MIT. He has published several papers on semantics of programming languages and computer aided collaborative work.
Kent Siri- Director of Marketing
Kent joined Kyruus in April of 2011 and now serves as its Director of Marketing where he focuses on corporate and field marketing efforts and strategies for the company. In his role, Kent is responsible for the design, development and execution of Kyruus’ corporate identity, strategic marketing initiatives, forward facing content, and public relations. Prior to joining Kyruus, Kent was a consultant at Trinity Partners, where he acted as a key strategic and analytic partner in a number of engagements with top pharmaceutical and biotech clients. Previously, Kent served as a Research Analyst and Senior Account Manager at Leerink Swann, a boutique healthcare investment bank in Boston. Kent received his BA in biology from Princeton University.
Wassaf Farooqi - Director of Engineering
Wassaf joined Kyruus in February 2012 and is currently its Director of Engineering. He brings 10 years of experience in engineering leadership and application development. Currently, he leads Kyruus’ application development efforts which includes the development and testing of internal and external applications and APIs. Prior to joining Kyruus, Wassaf led software quality automation initiatives at HubSpot, a developer of software-as-a-service solutions for inbound marketing. There, he also contributed heavily to the development of the application platform. Wassaf holds a BS in computer engineering from Northeastern University.
David Malkenson – Director of Product
Dave came to Kyruus in September of 2013 and is currently its Director of Product. Prior to Kyruus, Dave was at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, where he developed and implemented Northwestern Medicine’s Care Coordination Strategy and Roadmap. Prior to this role, Dave managed the operations for Northwestern’s Hospital Medicine and Palliative Medicine programs. Before joining Northwestern, Dave held a number of roles at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics across the Clinical Affairs, Decision Support, and IT departments. Dave led the system-wide initiative to develop evidence-based order sets and other clinical content related to the implementation of the Epic EHR system. Dave earned his BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.
Nikhil Sahni – Director of Business Development
Nikhil Sahni joined Kyruus in April of 2014 as Director of Business Development. His main responsibilities include corporate strategy, partnership deal management, and new channel development. Previously, Nikhil worked at the Health Policy Commission, an independent state agency in Massachusetts, as Policy Director of Cost Trends and Special Projects. Prior to this, he studied innovation in government as a fellow at the Forum for Growth and Innovation at Harvard Business School and worked on health care and economic policy at the National Economic Council. Nikhil began his career at McKinsey & Company consulting domestic and European healthcare companies. He also spent time with the Boston Red Sox as Special Assistant to the President/CEO and to the Chairman. Nikhil earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics, a Bachelor of Arts in South Asia Studies, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania. He also earned a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Master in Public Administration/International Development from the Harvard Kennedy School.
